Reverse

CARo _ LVS (inscribed in two lines, one globule between the letter C and the letter L, two others aligned vertically under the leg of the letter R. One globule on each side of the letter S).

TAT _ DRS (inscribed in two lines, reverse TAT on the first line, the letters D, R and S below. An ax below the legend).

One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2440378&viewType=detailView.

The reverse of this coin should (in my opinion) be read as inverted TAT and D. Otherwise the ax would be found above the legend (unusual for this mint). See the comment on this coin: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/modern-coins/monnaies-carolingiennes/charlemagne-en-cours-de-travail/premiere-periode-768-781/denier/dorestad/denier-type-1-d-tat. An exception where the ax is undoubtedly placed at the top.
