This coin shares the same dies as the second coin illustrated for n°3409 plate 72 of RIC X. The first coin illustrated also shares the same obverse die as the other two coins. I noticed only two different obverse dies from this one for this legend. The other coin has multiple die breaks and we can read R F A instead of P F A on the obverse, probably a die break also on the letter P. The notable differences between the Tremissii of the mint of Milan and those of Rome are:

Milan

  • latin cross larger and thin.
  • the bottom of the wreath shows large and wide crosses and has no ribbon.

Rome

  • smaller and wider latin cross.
  • the bottom of the wreath shows decorations and ribbons.
