Photo of a coin sold the 19/05/2004 by Classical Numismatic Group, Mail Bid Sale 66, lot 1661, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=175274, link to their website: https://www.cngcoins.com/. As Classical Numismatic Group points out, this coin shares the same obverse die as the coin illustrated in RIC X plate 72, n ° 3411. I noted ''rev link'' in the reference for reverse link. I only saw one obverse die with this legend. Also sharing the same obverse die as the AYC #9, RIC 3411 (Alexandria).
I note that this coin shares the same reverse die as a Julius Nepos coin. It shows multiple breaks and blockages that were not present on the copy of Julius Nepos, link to this coin sold by Classical Numismatic Group: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=29672.
The notable differences between the Tremissii of the mint of Milan and those of Rome are:
Milan
- latin cross larger and thin.
- the bottom of the wreath shows large and wide crosses and has no ribbon.
Rome
- smaller and wider latin cross.
- the bottom of the wreath shows decorations and ribbons.
