COMOB
Coin illustrated in the RIC X plate 72, n°3412, source: Fitzwillam museum of Cambridge and museum Capitolini of Roma. The obverse legend after ROMVLVS is almost illegible because it is out off the blank. I noted the legend described by the RIC X, to be confirmed.
As underlined by the RIC X in note, this coin illustrated plate 72 shares the same reverse die as the n° 3214 (Julius Nepos) and 3305 (Basiliscus).
The notable differences between the Tremissii of Milan and those of Rome are:
Milan
- latin cross larger and thin.
- the bottom of the wreath shows large and wide crosses and has no ribbon.
Rome
- smaller and wider latin cross.
- the bottom of the wreath shows decorations and ribbons.
