Another coin sold the 23/01/2007 by UBS Gold & Numismatics, Auction 69, lot 681, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=354192. This coin has the officina letter no degenerated and inscribed on the ground line. It appears to be a die addition. Modification because of an omission of the inscription of the officina letter during the creation of the die? Or modification of an already existing die, as for example the AYC #7 Tr off, RIC 9 (modification on the officina letter S to form a letter G and therefore the legend CONCORDIA AVGGG).

Variant with jewel on the diadem.

This series is characterized by a medium bust size. This one is quite difficult to differentiate from the small bust. We will limit ourselves to observing the height at which the head rises and that the bust slightly exceeds the legend at the bottom, unlike the small bust which stops a little before. As for Zeno, we notice a finer portrait on the first years (397 / 402), while the portraits of the following series will become wider and Theodosius II will look more to the right even if mixtures exist from 402. This officina was not listed by the RIC X.
