Photo of a coin sold on 09 July 2003 by Classical Numismatic Group, Electronic Auction 68, lot 278, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=140910, link to their website: https://www.cngcoins.com/.
Variant with INP on the reverse instead of IMP.
Light weight for this coin, yet well preserved. The magnification of this particular photo is insufficient to definitively confirm that the word IMP is actually written INP. I have listed other examples with this clearly legible variant, but for which I do not have the photographic rights: coin sold on 24 November 2008 by Numismatik Lanz München, Auction 144, lot 738, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=551816. Another copy using the same dies as the copy in the sale of Numismatik Lanz München, sold on 07 October 2019 by Fritz Rudolf Künker, Auction 326, lot 1694, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=6378134; Note the unusual style of the portrait and the design on the reverse. Another coin with the same variant, sold on 14 November 2013 by Emporium Hambourg, Auction 70, lot 407, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=1749121. And another copy sold on 28 September 2021 by Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Auction 123, lot 1383, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=8563801. Apart from the two copies, that of Numismatik Lanz München and that of Fritz Rudolf Künker that share the same dies, all the other examples cited use different dies.
Type II: with the mark CONOB or COMOB (CONOB here) and the reverse legend generally ending at the level of the shield. No legend punctuation on the reverse. A square, upright throne, the right knee is rounded, natural drapery, and a vertical scepter. This corresponds to Type I of RIC X. Variant B is the same as RIC X: a smaller, rounder shield.
