Coin referenced in the RIC 7, page 608, n°47. Sources: Riechmann 1922, 1355, Basel 238, 50 (without specifying which is the officina letter present in these references). I could not see the Riechmann catalog or the Basel 238. Existence to be confirmed.

The eagle surmounting the scepter is often very inconspicuous but always present on all the coins of the three mints known for Martinianus: Alexandria (new mint that I discovered), Cyzicus and Nicomedia.

There are many errors in the RIC 7. The AVS instead of AVG error was noted but not the no instead of the letter S of MARTINIANVS. The correct legend is noted in the corrigenda of RIC 7 on the notinric site, link to the page: http://www.notinric.lechstepniewski.info/cv7.html (see page 645). The correct legend is therefore: IM CS MAR MARTINIANVno P F AVS. has however found a coin with the legend: IM CS MAR MARTINIANVS P F AVS, as noted by RIC 7. This is the coin classified AYC #1. As also noted by notinric, this was indeed an error of the RIC 7 because the illustrated coin plate 22 (n° 16) shows the legend: IM CS MAR MARTINIANVno P F AVS. RIC 7 had listed only one officina: A and notinric has since added: B and devil.

There is a coin sold by Heritage Europe (formerly MPO Auctions), with the SMKB mark, therefore Cyzicus mint. Link to the coin: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=6875598.The obverse legend is clearly visible: D N MARTINIANVS P F AVG. This obverse legend is referenced for the Nicomedia mint but not for Cyzicus. Is this coin genuine? To check.
