IMP C P C REGALIANVS AVG

Radiate and draped bust of Regalianus to the right.

LIBERLAS AVGG

Liberalitas standing left, holding pileus with the right hand and transverse scepter with the left hand.

Coin referenced by RIC 5B page 586, n °6. Here is the note from RIC 5B about this coin: ''Rohde, num. Zeit. 1894, publishes somewhat different readings of this and some other coins of the reign''. I have not been able to find this source. Coin to be confirmed. I have filed the coin under the legend LIBERALITAS AVGG believing estimating that it is a legend error. It is even, in my opinion, possible that the legend is indeed LIBERALITAS AVGG, cut to the letter A and mixed with the old legend. Possibility: LIBER (A erased) L [AS old legend] AVGG. The RIC 5B does not mention whether the coin has remnants of an old coin. I noted ov? because it is probably overstruck on a coin from another emperor which remains to be determined.

The RIC 6 is also existing for two different types: LIBERLAS AVGG and ORIENS AVGG, this is a number assignment error. The ORIENS AVGG type should be n°7.
