Mars standing left, holding a shield at his feet with the right hand and a spear with the point down with the other hand.

Coin described and illustrated by Mme Estiot in her article: ''L'empereur Silbannacus, un second antoninien'', revue numismatique 1996, 151, pages 105 à 117. Illustrated plate XV of the revue.

Mme Estiot propose la date de l'été 253 et l'atelier de Rome pour la frappe. Je la cite page 111: ''En effet, c'est au cours du bref règne d'Émilien (été-automne 253) qu'ont été émis, dans l'atelier de Rome, des antoniniens à la légende MARTI PROPVGT, avec la même erreur (?) d'abréviation, et aborant le même type iconographique particulier''. Traduction: ''Indeed, it was during Emilian's brief reign (summer-autumn 253) that Antoninians with the legend MARTI PROPVGT were issued, in the mint of Roma, with the same error (?) Of abbreviation, and having the same particular iconographic type''.

Unique copy found in the Paris region. The only other known coin of this emperor is classified AYC # 2.
