''ov Ju. Soe'' in the reference: AYC #8 ov Ju. Soe, means that this coin is overstruck on a denarius of Julia Soemias. ''ov'' for overstruck. The auction house rightly attributes Julia soemias as the empress present on the original coin with the reverse VENVS CAELESTIS. We can read on the reverse: IA SOAE and on the obverse we can see a seated figure and probable letters: AEL.. Here is a photo showing what the original coin looked like (RIC 243 Julia Soemias):

I assign the RIC numbers according to the marked legends. For example, RIC 7 is given for an overstrike of a Caracalla denarius. I have classified coins under this number 6 because they use the same legends for Regalianus, even though they are overstruck from other emperors. The RIC 6 is also existing for two different types: LIBERLAS AVGG and ORIENS AVGG, this is a number assignment error. The ORIENS AVGG type should be n°7.
