ROMAE AETE - RNAE

Rome seated left on a shield and throne, holding a scepter with the left hand and a victory with the right hand. Victory holds a palm with the right hand and a crown with the left hand.

Gordian I and II share the same obverse legend, the bust of Gordian II is distinguished by absence of hairs in front of his laurel wreath.
