Coin illustrated in ''The numismatic Chronicle (1966) Vol.141 (1981), pp. 154 à 156. William E. Metcalf''. The coin illustrated plate 30.1 is very worn, THO remains on the obverse as a legend and a cross on the reverse. The coin was found in Carthage in 1978. I have not found any other trace of this coin apart from this article. Coin to be confirmed. Descriptions following a type existing in another denomination (SALVS REIPVBLICAE) whose remains seem to indicate this type as well as this obverse, according to author William E. Metcalf.
