Numéro :

Coin without officina letter at the exergue, listed by the RIC IX with the reference Ulrich-Bansa. Existence to be confirmed. It is very likely that the letter is erased by wear. We find for example on the internet, this coin listed by some websites without officina letter, coin sold on 29 October 2004 by Dr Busso Peus Nachfolger, Auction 413, lot 574, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=2193940. The smooth space between the letter Q and the letter M of ROMANORVM is large and one can think that the letter is simply erased ... moreover there seem to be some visible letter remains. I add that the letter S is also erased..

The letter G being often confused with the bust, we cannot say if all the coins of this mint have a ribbon coming out of this letter as is the case on the Siliquae. I was able to see two copies with a clearly visible ribbon, the first coin has been sold on 18 January 2017 by Classical Numismatic Group, Electronic Auction 389, lot 798, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=3673887, the second coin has been sold on 18 August 2004 by this same auction house, Auction 96, lot 187, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=182621.
