Variant without jewels on the diadem and the mark CONOB / R. Particular coin, which shows the modifications of the marks CONOR into CONOB. Indeed this coin shares the same dies as the AYC #8, RIC 928. This coin having the mark CONOR. The coin AYC #8 mark corr var, RIC 928 is from a correction of the letter R by adding a thin line under the letter to form a B. The modification was made shortly after the striking of the AYC #8, RIC 928 with the mark CONOR, the two coins have the same die breaks and these are not more pronounced on one coin rather than the other. Given the degree of wear on the reverse, CONOR has been struck a long time before it was corrected. Here is the photo of the coin with CONOR (AYC #8, RIC 928):

The marks CONOR are classified as AYC #8. Here are the different variants:

- #8: CONOR mark not corrected. Examples: AYC #8 a, indicating that it is the CONOR mark associated with the second known officina: Z (without officina or first officina: no letter, second officina: a .. etc.). #8 (1) with legend break on the reverse.

- ''mark corr'' in the reference indicates that the mark has been corrected. When the letter R of CONOR has a thin line which has been added to form a letter B.

Read this article about CONOR marks: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/blog/antique/romaines/analyse-de-la-marque-conor. I also assigned the same RIC numbers as for AYC #7, the RIC not having noted these marks CONOR.

On the reverse I noted ''Angel'' in the description. We can also say that this is Victoria but the image of the victory at that time had indeed become that of an angel symbolizing the Christian victory.
