The RIC X, page 335, n °1339 note, mentions that the Cigoi lists fakes with this legend. It is necessary to check if this coin is listed in this book. This copy is also quoted in the note of RIC X. Quote: ''Also pieces by Cigoi, with legend VICTORIA ROMANORVM, e.g. DO (Dumbarton Oaks), Sale 80.279 (the sale of Hess Leu of 4 april 1963 illustrated above); Br 330 (Brunetti 1966).'' The style bothers me and furthermore the very close resemblance to the Solidus dies makes this coin even more dubious.
