CARo _ LVS (inscribed in two lines with one globule between the letter A and the letter V).

Rx FR (the letters R, x and F under a tilde, four diamond-shaped globules between the letters R and F. The letter A with a horizontal line between the legs, A?).

Photo of the copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b104136670.r=charlemagne%20denier?rk=1566531;2.

One may wonder if the reverse legend is Rx FR or Rx FRA, this bar crossing the two legs of the letter R on the reverse can be interpreted in various ways, letter A, error..

The coins of Aix-La-Chapelle and Milan are very similar .. I considered that the coins with the mention MED are from Milan and that all those not having this group of letters are for the mint of Aix-La-Chapelle.
