CARo _ LVS (inscribed in two lines, one globule in the middle between the letter A and the letter V).

A - R _ DIS (inscribed in two lines separated by a medium-sized cross, two or three globules aligned vertically between the letters A and R, one globule to the left of the cross, another to the right; one globule to the left of the letter I and another between the cross and the letter S).

There may be a third globule off the blank on the reverse, above the two visible and which are aligned vertically. But, even if it is another variant, another copy clearly shows two globules at this location. There seems to be only one globule on the obverse. See type 3, var 2.
