CARLO (the letters C, A, R and L under a tilde).

LEVTBRA (circular legend around a circle with a globule inside).

Photo of the copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b10412414g.r=charlemagne%20denier?rk=793995;2. On several coins linked below, we can see dots in the letters B or R on the reverse, in my opinion, these dots are breaks or defects. I therefore do not classify these points as globules.

Another copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b104124131.r=charlemagne%20denier?rk=1952799;2.

Two coins preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the first coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2355190&viewType=detailView, link to the second coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2449050&viewType=detailView.

The Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, evokes, in their commentary, the fakes of Tardini, without saying whether, in their opinion, the coin is authentic or not. It seems that the coin is official. They also give the place of discovery: ''Imphy'', coin from the treasury of Imphy? This is not specified. This is the second coin of this type that I see (both on their website).
