The second letter T is assimilable to the letter E. However, its shape is exactly the same as the other letter that follows. In addition, this first letter T is made up of three globules linked together. There appears to be no globule on the obverse. A second copy with the globules forming the letter T, more visible and sold by Heritage Auctions, link to the sale and their site: https://coins.ha.com/itm/france/france-carolingian-charlemagne-768-814-denier-nd-vf35-ngc-/a/3037-29381.s?type=acsearch3037.

Another copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b10442352s.r=charlemagne%20denier?rk=1266100;4. The globule on the reverse is very erased.
