CARo _ LVS (inscribed in two lines).

MED RxF (the letters MED mixed with one globule inside, the letters R, x and F under a tilde, one globule in the loop of the letter R, another below this same loop yet another globule between the two bars of the letter F. Four diamond-shaped globules below the letter R).

One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2355400&viewType=detailView.

A globule is present on the reverse in the middle of the mixed MED letters, it is glued to the upper part. This globule is seen more clearly on other variants. It is more visible on the copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b104136653.r=charlemagne%20denier?rk=214593;2.

The coins of Aix-La-Chapelle and Milan are very similar .. I considered that the coins with the mention MED are from Milan and that all those not having this group of letters are for the mint of Aix-La-Chapelle.
