MED RxF (the letters MED mixed with one globule inside, the letters R, x and F under a tilde, one globule in the loop of the letter R, another below this same loop yet another globule between the two bars of the letter F. Four diamond-shaped globules below the letter R, a small cross to the right of the letter x?).

Photo of the copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b104136653.r=charlemagne%20denier?rk=1330478;4. The cross noted on the reverse (if it is present on this copy) is off blank.

One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2448434&viewType=detailView. This coin shows the small cross on the reverse, noted in the description.

Uncertainty about what is to the right of the letter x, which I noted as being a cross, in the description. A globule is present on the reverse in the middle of the mixed MED letters, it is glued to the upper part. This globule is seen more clearly on other variants.

The coins of Aix-La-Chapelle and Milan are very similar .. I considered that the coins with the mention MED are from Milan and that all those not having this group of letters are for the mint of Aix-La-Chapelle.
