D - E _ D - S (inscribed in two lines with a large cercelee cross in the middle. A letter at each corner of the cross, the letter D at the top left, the letter E at the right, D at the bottom left and S at the right).

Photo of the copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b10413659g.r=charlemagne%20denier?rk=2038636;4.

The bibliothèque Nationale de France has classified this coin as an undetermined mint. In my opinion, this coin is to be linked to the Razes mint. The reverse legend is degenerate and should be R - E _ D - S.
