Denarius, type 2, var 1
CARo _ LVS (inscribed in two lines, one globule on each side of the letter S)
V - O - R - M (legend with a letter at each corner of the cross, the letter V at the bottom right with a globule or triangle in the middle between the two bars of the letter, the letter O at the bottom left, the letter R at the top right and the letter M at the top left).
One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2448402&viewType=detailView.
Despite the metal blisters on the obverse, it is almost certain that the letter S is surrounded by two globules. I think it is a letter O at the bottom left, which would be stylized. This letter also resembles the letter D we see on coins for the mint of Melle.
