DN KARLVS IMP AVG REX F ET L (laureate and draped bust of Charlemagne to the right. A cross between the letters L and D).

AT OELARE (circular legend around a city gate. A dot between each letter?).

One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2355448&viewType=detailView.

An illustration in the form of a drawing shows a coin with only two dots on the reverse, between the letter T and the letter O, and the other between the letters R and E ... The Berlin copy shows at least four dots and all visible letters are surrounded by these dots ... I therefore assume that the other letters erased, were also separated by dots.
