HLVDOVVICVS IMP AVG (Laureate and draped bust of Louis The Pious on the right, one globule before the letter H).

MEDIOLANVM (circular legend around a tetrastyle temple on two degrees and surmounted by a cross; a cross in the middle of the temple. The letter D inverted).

One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2376310&viewType=detailView.

I always classify the variants according to the differences on the obverse. On this type, the only differences on the obverse are the positions of the globule. This coin, having the globule placed before the first letter should therefore have been the main type. But it is also the only coin with an inverted letter D on the reverse, so I chose to note it as variant 1.
