HLVDOVVICVS M (circular legend around a cross surrounded by a circle made up of dots, a cross between the letter P and the letter H).

VEN _ ECIAS (inscribed in two lines, a cross to the left of the letter V, a globule between VEN and ECIAS).

We can read HLVDOVVICVS M or II ... Anyway, as I have already noted on different variants the whole coinage of this mint for Louis The Pious, often has a letter M badly inscribed whose middle is missing or is shifted. On the reverse, the globule on this coin is almost erased.
