Reverse
CARo _ LVS (inscribed in two lines).
LEM _ S (the letters L, E and M under a long cross tilted to the left (tilde extended by a cross), the letter S inclined and retrograde under the letters E and M; one globule above the letter M?).
Coin sold by Saive numismatique, link to the sale and their website: https://www.saivenumismatique.fr/monnaies_r1/monnaies-carolingiennes_c48/charlemagne-768-814_p1106/limoges_t2411/denier-de-la-premiere-periode-768-781-ttb_article_8268.html.
I noted the globule above the letter M on the reverse as uncertain. indeed one can wonder if it is a single globule or the bottom of a cross ending the right end of the tilde. As it is the case at the left end of the tilde.
