This coin does not seem to exist in a state of conservation inferior or superior to VF.

If you have a more worn copy than the known minimum conservation state, remove aproximately 30 percent for each lower conservation state. In the opposite case, you probably have the best known copy, as long as the coin is not sold, we can not know what price will be obtained in auction.

Medium bust: the ears touch the circle, the point of the blow slightly protrudes from the circle.

Large bust: the ears and the point of the blow come out of the circle.

I chose to put this coin at the top of the ranking for this year, given that the obverse die does not have a mint letter, that the reverse does not yet include the beam and the olive branch and that the signature is LM. Of course, this is not the first type of reverse, because the reverse with the L.MERLEY signature was known as early as 1881, while the one with L.M did not appear until 1887.
