HTVDOVVICVS IMP AVG (Laureate and draped bust of Louis The Pious on the right, the letter S inclined).

STRAZBVRC (circular legend with the letter S inclined, around a city gate with a cross below).

Photo of a coin sold by Jean Elsen & ses Fils S.A., link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=4159305, link to their website: https://www.elsen.eu/.

We see a letter T on the obverse, in place of the letter L. We still find this form of letter on the copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (public domain), link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b104124561.r=louis%20le%20pieux?rk=5000024;4. The letter H seems present but mixed with the bust.

Another copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2376307&viewType=detailView. Coin identical to the copy preserved at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. Same form of blank, molded aspect ... to study.
