Reverse

R P (the letters R and P under a tilde, one globule in the middle and one globule to the right of the letter P).

SCI CRVCIS (circular legend, large cross crosslet in the middle).

One copy preserved at the Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen of Berlin, link to the page of their website showing the photo of the coin: http://www.smb-digital.de/eMuseumPlus?service=ExternalInterface&module=collection&objectId=2378353&viewType=detailView. This is the copy illustrated in the old works.

There do not seem to be any globules on the reverse, like on type 2 and type 2, var 1 .. but they may have disappeared with wear.

Experts attribute this coin either to the mint of Metz (Abbey of Sainte Croix), or to the churches of Sainte Croix in Poitiers or Orléans.
