Variant with INP instead of IMP on the reverse. Another copy sharing the same reverse die shows better that the letter N of INP on the reverse, is indeed an N and not a poorly executed M as the copy illustrating this AYC #21 var, RIC 323 might suggest. A die break on the letter N of CONOB is visible on both copies. Here is the coin:

I note a copy of the same type with a clumsy engraving on the letters SI of THEODOSIVS which are engraved lower than the rest of the legend and included in the helmet. Coin sold on 08 October 2012 by Fritz Rudolf Künker, Auction 216, lot 1359, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=1375856.
Let us note a copy to study, appearing to be of the same type but with PF perhaps appearing poorly engraved and the last P of PP being engraved with dots like the shield. To be checked because the photo is not clear enough. Coin sold on 27 July 2002 by Heritage Auctions, Auction 296, lot 11483, link to the sale: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=105392 et https://coins.ha.com/itm/ancients/roman/theodosius-ii-ad-402-450-av-solidus-minted-at/a/296-11483.s?type=acsearch296#.
Type I: with mark CONOB or COMOB (CONOB here) and the reverse legend usually ending before the shield. No punctuation on legend either side. A square throne, the right leg as a triangular protuberance, stiff drapery and vertical scepter. This corresponds to type III of RIC X. Var A is the same as RIC X: elongated and long shield.
See AYC #21, RIC 323: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/archives-anciennes/romaines-imperiales/imp-xxxxii-cos-xvii-p-p-type-i-a-441-450, for the commentary explaining the entire coinage.
