Coins with a more degenerate style and legends than on the numbers AYC #22 degen, RIC 324 and AYC #22 degen 2, RIC 324. The letters P appear to be inverted but the double-striking can give this effect. The letter A of AVG is a V and the next letter is an inverted A. The auction house attributes the coin to the migrations of the Huns. But is this coin actually the work of a barbarian led by an official and experienced engraver? There are, in fact, few engraving errors and the weight is correct. The same INP error is found as on official coins.
