I followed the ranking of Cohen which gives this variant with head to the right on the obverse as main type. Yet this is the rarest type of both. The type with the head to the right is already very rare, but it is the one that we always find.
I also noted this coin with the points in the legend, it seems to me to have seen a point on a coin. The copies are always extremely worn, it is impossible to exclude the presence of these points that are present in the variant (head to the left). On the number and placement of points, I give the same comments as for Drusus, read here: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/emperors/romaines-imperiales/drusus. For a brief summary, if you have not read the comments on the link, you can not exclude the presence of all the points in the legend if only one of these points appears on a coin. Wear and other striking accidents, lack of space to put the point in a long legend etc ... Do that if a point is seen, it seems reasonable to think that this coin has, initially, all the points. Otherwise, it would be crazy to list the variants of points present or absent that would be too numerous and do not fall under a real desire of the engraver to differentiate currencies. Finally, I have not seen any money with a point between TI and CLAVDIVS.

I saw some copies without any point in the legend. Variation for collector. I do not think that the absence of these small points is important, contrary to the positions of objects, change of direction or other elements that give rise to real interesting variants. However, many variants known and listed since always, are due to simple errors or artistic fantasies. Therefore, it seems normal to classify this lack of point in the legend as a variant, because this falls into the same classification logic as the examples given.
